About Dhamma Līḷhā meditation centre

In September 2022, the Vipassana Association acquired a countryside guesthouse complex in order to turn it into an ideal place for Vipassana Meditation Courses as taught by S.N. Goenka. After a few months, with the help of Donations, loans and hard work of Vipassana old students, Dhamma Liḷhā  opens its gates and the first 10-day courses was held in 2023. Lithuanian Vipassana meditation centre, and it was named Dhamma Līḷhā (which means "the beauty, charm of Dhamma" in Pali).

Surrounded by nature, Dhamma Līḷhā hosts 10-day Vipassana courses (for both new and old students) and 1-day and 3-day courses (for old students only). Courses for children and teenagers are foreseen in the future. The centre also offers an opportunity for a long-term service for certain periods of time. 

Courses are organized during the warmer months of the year, and the centre can accommodate up to 80 meditating students at a time. Each year, over 300 people from Lithuania and abroad come to Dhamma Līḷhā to learn and practice the Vipassana technique.

Long-term service (at the centre or remotely)

If you have completed at least one 10-day course and are interested in offering long-term service, we invite you to fill out this form, and we will contact you. Long-term service at the centre may include upkeep of the centre grounds and various maintenance tasks to improve living conditions of the students coming to learn and meditate Vipassana. 

Support is also welcome outside the centre, in promoting and maintaining Vipassana meditation throughout Lithuania. If you have ideas or would like to contribute in any way, please let us know by submitting the form, and we will get in touch. 

The territory of Dhamma Līḷhā

Since 2023, Vipassana courses in Lithuania are held only at the Vipassana meditation center "Dhamma Līḷhā", located at Miguičionių k. 15, Miguičionių village, LT-65414 Varėna district.

Meditation Hall

Spacious and bright hall provides the meditation space for 80 students, 12 servers and two teachers.  

Student accommodation houses

Old houses have one bathroom and can accommodate 6 students each.  

Construction of four new houses

Planning for four new houses started in 2024 and they were constructed in spring 2025 just in time for the new season. New houses with three double rooms and two bathrooms also accommodate 6 students each.
